Multiterrain volunteers meeting

The meeting will take place on Monday evening at 7.30pm at the Windmill on Nore Road.

Message from the chairman:

Only two weeks to go and still loads to do. I know a number of you have already volunteered but this will be a definitive list so please stick you name down again - if you have a preference then say so otherwise you will be allocated to a task, if you have a preference but are flexible then just put (flexible) after your name following is a task list which I would ask you to consider and put your name down for one or two things, as for marshalling, we cannot have too many and I would ask you to consider asking your significant other, parents, friends or anyone you know to see if they would spare a couple of hours, get some fresh air and feel that they have in some small way made a charitable contribution as a result of their efforts (half of the proceeds will go to Rotary) next week or week afterresidents leaflets letting them know what is going on - Steve Reid is in charge here before the daycake baking - last years event was a marvel, this year the prices will be more realistic and we will make even more money for a suitable charity day beforebrush cutting the route to make sure it is passable - I'm in charge of this evening beforecollecting tables for the entries, water stations etc and taking them to the hutchsetting out some of the course on the dayvery early, setting out the rest of the course, laying km markers etcsetting out for the family fun runput tent up for sweatshopput up start and finish bannersparking and traffic marshalls first aid stand (Jenny / Celeste ??) race marshalls - Ann singer is co-ordinating this area and will be looking for sector marshalls as well and having a meeting with them the week before timekeeping - Susanne Andersen is co-ordinating this areatime recordersnumber recordersdata entry into excel sheet for the results entries on the day - Val Jones is in charge herecollecting forms and moneydata entry into excel sheet cake stallpeople to man - need a volunteer to co-ordinate baking effort and selling on the day sweet stall - invited cross tree store but they cannot make it - anyone fancy themselves as a sweet vendor? information stand - help the needy and also publicise PRC after the event - all very important and often left to a few so it takes all day and makes the few feel very grumpy and unloved !!litter pickingclearing up all signs of the event having taken place, all direction signs etc, tables removed and returned etc etc I am sure there is more but the brain is tired and I have to get this out - if you think of anything I haven't thought of then just let me know as always, this event, which is a great one and everyone that does it loves it, can only be a success if we put lots of effort into it, a lot of effort has gone in so far and it needs a lot of you (and anyone else you can drag along) to get involved and make it an even bigger success thanks for listening and I look forward to an overwhelming and rapid response
