Membership Fees
At the 2008 AGM we agreed that, as a consequence of our affiliation to England Athletics, and their affiliation year, we would change our membership year to January - December with effect this year. So as not to disadvantage anyone, and to make administration at this end as easy as possible, we have also agreed to run the next membership period for 18 months, from the end of the current membership year (June) to the end of 2009.

We have also, unfortunately had to put the annual membership fee up as a consequence of rises in the affiliation fees from England Athletics, but believe we still offer incredible value by comparison to other clubs and societies.

We hope you continue to enjoy being a member of PRC, and if we haven't seen you for a while, perhaps this will encourage you to come down on a Tuesday or Thursday (or both!) at 6.30pm, now in our own premises opposite the open air pool, and get back into the swing of things.

In the meantime we would appreciate you completing the 2 forms below and bring them to the Membership Secretary (Val Jones) on a club night, or complete and send with a cheque (made payable to "Portishead Running Club") to Val at 26 Charlcombe Rise Portishead BS20 8NB.

Please can you return the form even if you are not rejoining. Note that you no longer need to fill in a separate England Athletics form.

All members will be covered by our public liability insurance while running a club session, and be entitled to discounts at :

Portishead Sports Shop
Easyrunner Sports Shop, Clifton
Walnut Grove Clinic

All members will also be able to purchase club kit at cost.

Affiliated members will be able to enter affiliated road and multi-terrain events up & down the country as either a team member for PRC, or individually as a member of an affiliated club. Either way you'll get a discount of around £2 a time on entry fees, so if you plan to enter 6 or more events a year then affiliated membership will pay for itself.
