Club Information

You are welcome to come along and run with us at either of our club nights.

We currently meet on Tuesday and Thursday evenings @ 6:30pm at "The Hutch", a hut opposite the outdoor swimming pool at Portishead Lakegrounds. Parking is available.

The sessions are aimed at gentle club running, with runners splitting into groups of differing levels.
Both sessions are aimed at all levels, covering training sessions on all the daunting things below, so that you are able to adapt and apply them for your own training goals.

  • Running economy
  • Run/walk (as a long-distance race technique)
  • Hill technique
  • Lactate threshold
  • Hill intervals
  • Stamina building
  • Speed intervals
  • Fartlek (Swedish word means 'speed play')
  • Bounding/power work
  • Stretching
  • and any other kinds of training that get suggested.

We should be all done by 7.45pm

We have a variety of standards, so please don't be shy, come along !
