2008
The day started out a bit foggy, but the rejuvenated British summer allowed the sun the shine through to provide us with a glorious morning. With this being our first club event we weren't quite sure how well it would go, but a very fantastic number (174 for the 10k and 24 for the 5k) turned up to enjoy what Portishead could offer.
There was a happy buzz in the air as 10k Olympian Kate Reed, on her birhday, started off the races. No injuries, and lots of positive feedback so far has been received, with thanks to the PRC members who helped arrange the race day, and also to the other local clubs who swelled the numbers to make this surely a repeating event in the local calendar.
